Week 24-Hypnosis and Vegans. Wouldn't have found this down south in Sulphur.‏

Good mormon to all,
I can't believe I've been in Mustang for almost a month now. They tell you that time flies on the mission, should've believed them. It's all that more of an incentive to work harder though because you realize that this ISN'T going to be your life for forever. In fact, I've only got about one year left of it. We've got such a short time span out here to give Him our all. Well we better give just that.
This week has been pretty great. We have a great deal of unkowns on our ward roster and with the combining of the areas, we've got even more now. We were able to meet with Bishop though and get some names cleared up and such which was really nice.
We had a pretty eventful dinner Saturday night. There is a pretty..well..special family in our ward. The Windoms. HA I absolutely LOVE them! They are extremely, I don't know, 'earth-aware'? They're Vegans and are into anything and everything that is a tad different. It was rather funny because we actually didn't know the family that well until Saturday (Sisters Downing and Bishop had never eaten there until saturday) and they have this baby who Sister Windom dresses up like a little moth every time we see them at church. It's bald and is always wearing this brown necklace. Well we weren't quite sure if it was a boy or girl. Anyways, Porter is a BOY we found out. We had raw vegan tacos at their house. It was a different experience, that's for sure. They actually weren't that bad. Let's just say I'm not going to be going Vegan anytime soon though..
Probably the best part of the night was when Brother Windom pulled out his 'magic box'. So I have something to tell you all. Brother Windom is a magician/hypnotist. And yes, I'm being serious. He has shows all across the nation, cruise ships book him for a couple months at a time, you name it. He's crazy. He tells us though to tell ward members if asked what he does, say a motivational speaker because let's face it. Saying that you hypnotize people on the weekends sounds a tad weird. He did a ton of tricks for us and promised to hypnotize me the next time that we're over for dinner. We'll see how that goes. By the way, he goes by the name of steven (stephen?) stone in the magic world. Y'all should seriously look him up on youtube! He's fabulous.
We're trying to pick up the work over here in Mustang. We don't have too many people to teach and I think it's really starting to work on all three of us. We're certainly trying to do more finding every day and having that faith that we WILL find those who He has prepared.
One little miracle-A family, the Canada's (No. It's not pronounced like the country) have this Vietnamese family as their neighbors and they've been sharing bits about the gospel with them. We went over the other night and set up a return appointment for the next day because she doesn't understand hardly any english and her husband does but he wasn't there. We're SO excited! They seemed pretty sincere when it came to wanting to learn more! We went back the next night and no one was there. But BUT...preeetty sure she just honestly didn't understand anything that we were saying and that 'tomorrow night at 8' didn't translate too well. And SO we still have faith and we'll make sure to keep trying them at later times in the day, hoping that he'll be home from work when we do.
I love my Savior and I'm grateful to be a missionary. I'm grateful for the stretching and growth that is offered everyday out here.
I love you family!
Sister Call
PS. I seriously can't say how proud I am of Lani and Ford with that Mary play. It doesn't surprise me but it's truly still incredible.

This here is Jan Elrod, my mom in Sulphur. And then Jessice her daughter in law (the one in the blue dress) ended up getting baptized the Saturday after this! And then Jimmy her husband (the short one next to her) I believe has a baptismal date in two weeks. Amazing!
